Lessons Learned: Stories from Women Leaders in STEM
(RE)DEFINING THE IMAGE OF STEM
THIS IS WHAT A SCIENTIST LOOKS LIKE PERIOD.
We come in all races, ethnicities, religions, beliefs, genders, shades, shapes, sizes, and styles.
We have tattoos, piercings, and colorful hair that match our colorful personalities.
We are eclectic, non-traditional, geeky, and a little weird (some of us a lot).
We are travelers, adventurers, entrepreneurs, and bonafide hustlers.
We are leaders, supporters, innovators, and survivors.
As a biomedical engineer and STEM diversity advocate, I am passionate about increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in STEM by incessantly illustrating that
REPRESENTATION matters!
Hi Team!
Thank you so much for stopping by to learn more about me and my efforts in (Re)Defining The Image of S.T.E.M. (Science. Technology. Engineering. Mathematics). Let's work together to show people that anyone can be and succeed in STEM!
